Throughout the entire film, the theme it was trying to set kept changing from comedy to drama, as if the writer was trying to make up their mind. Not to say that you can’t have a drama that’s funny, but there are moments of light amusement when the mood suddenly changes to traumatic, and then back to drole.

However, it is well structured and is certainly a film of light entertainment, that’s easy to follow and is one that you’ll certainly remember for a long time to come. The acting was also outstanding, making characters not only realistic but also 3D. And if you’re a fan of Vince Vaughn playing Vince Vaughn then you are in for a treat, although you should be warned that he did put a lid on his excitement through out the film, and is rather laid back. On the other hand, this highlights the strangeness or severity of some characters, and certainly makes for a heart warming tale.

The story isn’t all in the advert, although it shows that there’s a law case against him because he is the father of over 500 children and under 150 of them want to know who he is, it’s not just about the struggle between big pharmaceutical companies (because the protagonist donated a vast amount of sperm) and the average people, but also creates a dilemma for the protagonist of paying off some over due debts to shifty characters or seeing his children, and also whether or not he reveals to his girl friend that he is the one that people call starbuck (the father of over 500 children), and risk his future relation ship with her.

All in all, a good film to see, but not a must see. 3/5 stars. Certainly a jolly good spot of light entertainment, that’ll stay with you for a long time to come. But certainly not as good as Dodge ball; a true underdog’s story. Now that’s a film that should be seen by all.
