Daredevil season 2 to debut against Batman v Superman on March 25th
Marvel vs DC
With Marvel’s most recent Netflix show Jessica Jones showing signs of success it’s time to start looking towards the original first, Daredevil season 2. Although Marvel and Netflix have yet to set an official release date for it a rumour suggests that it will debut directly against DC’s Batman v Superman.
Based on info gathered from “independent sources” ComicBook.com is reporting that Daredevil season will debut on March 25th. The same day as Batman v Superman Dawn Of Justice is scheduled to hit theaters. A double edged sword situation with a little more sharpness leaning towards Batman v Superman Dawn Of Justice, If this rumour were to be true, we are left with the grueling choice of either staying home and streaming Daredevil on release day or venturing out to watch Batman v Superman Dawn Of Justice. Marvel has once before pushed Warner Bros by sticking to their May 2016 release date and forcing Warner Bros to bring Batman v Superman forward to March 2016
Although we don’t have much except for a teaser trailer shown at comic con, show runner Doug Petrie had this to say.
Viewers watching the show will be rooting for this guy with a gun [The Punisher] but we’re also going to force people — the way we force Matt — to second-guess themselves. Taking lethal justice into your own hands in America in 2015 is tricky s–t. We have not shied away from the rich complicated reality of Now. If you’ve got a gun and you’re not the police you’re going to incite strong feelings. We’re stirring the pot and we’re aware of the headlines where we live and we’re trying to get people to think.
I guess the question of the day here is which trinity will you be watching first, Daredevil, Punisher & Elektra or Batman, Wonder Woman, & Superman or both?!
