iPhone 8 to have battery capacity of 5.5″ iPhone in 4.7″ body with OLED display

OLED iPhone 8 to have significantly larger battery

A note was obtained by MacRumors from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo where he mentioned the iPhone 8 will use a more expensive stacked logic board design to allow Apple to use a 2,700mAh battery (comparable to the 5.5″ Plus models) in a 4.7″ form factor.

Apple Refuses US Order Against Encryption

Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, released an open letter to its customers explaining that the FBI and the US government were ordering them to include a security hole in the future iOS updates with the objective of preventing terrorism. According to Apple this could potentially lead to hackers finding the backdoor and compromising users’ security.

The US government’s initiative was proposed to Apple after the San Bernardino terrorism incident in December when Apple cooperated with the FBI providing them with data and information to resolve the case. Recently, a post on Reddit detailed a new iPhone bug that bricks any 64-bit iOS device when its date is set it January 1 1970. Since this post, many news outlets have written articles about this bug and it didn’t take long until there were “guides” that tricked users into bricking their iPhone.
