Stop the reboots!

For the most part, I have stopped going to see comic book movies. Sure, there are exceptions – especially those involving the X-Men – but I find “reboots” particularly tiresome.

We all know the origins of Superman, Batman and Spiderman, but let’s recap in case you have forgotten.

Kal-El journeys to earth as an infant after his planet blows up, struggles to contain his powers as a child, but eventually embraces his true self to become Superman. Ultimately, he finds a nice girl and after fighting some super-villain he reveals himself to her.

Marvel sequel and reboot rumours Blade

Blade is a Marvel film in the Sony cinematic universe. Another hero in this universe is non other than the Amazing (and regular) Spider Man. Blade is in a universe full of vampires, and he adopts upon himself the responsibility to wipe out all of the vampire race. Vampires are strong, athletic, forever young and can heal quickly or regrow anything that is cut off. Blade himself is half vampire, as his mother was infected just before she gave birth to him. This means that he too has their great advantages and can also withstand sunlight, but he does have to take special medication to quench his blood lust.
