In an official statement, Google explained that it aims to provide a more balanced advertising experience for it’s consumers. “As part of that, we’ve decided to stop supporting 30-second unskippable ads as of 2018 and focus instead on formats that work well for both users and advertisers,” said a Google spokesman. Over the last year or so we have seen a large number of manufacturers pledge their support to the newest wearables platform that has been developed by Google. However, dismal sales numbers and lack of functionality have given all of these manufacturers cold feet. We have seen that most companies that had initially pledged their support have stated that they have no intentions of making more Android Wear smartwatches in the near future. Heimdal Security, a danish computer security firm has discovered a new malware targeting Android phones around Europe, the company stated that the virus has already been sent to over 100,000 smartphones in Denmark alone.
Mazar – as coined by the security firm- is a virus that spreads through SMS sending a link to the victim’s smartphone, tricking the user into believing that the link will show them a MMS, but instead the link downloads a malicious MMS viewer application running with root privileges that lets the attacker make arbitrary changes to the smartphone.
