Sony working to produce Marvel’s Venom movie

Sony Pictures is at it again, after years of almost making this film since the release of The Amazing Spider-Man, they have decided that the next movie from the Marvel universe will be a Spider-Man spin-off about Venom.

After Sony’s announcement last February that they will be rebooting the Spider-Man franchise in partnership with Marvel Studios, it seemed like there were no plans yet for the spin-offs like Venom and The Sinister Six.

According to the information announced so far by Sony Pictures, this spin-off film is definitely in production, however, contrary to popular belief, the film will not be connected too deeply with the Marvel universe, instead, Sony Pictures [...]

John Wick is Back

After the success of the original, the sequel John Wick: Chapter Two already started filming last year and Lionsgate just announced that the release date of the sequel is set for February of 2017.

Written by Derek Kolstad, with Chad Stahelski in the direction, Keanu Reeves back in the main role as John Wick the retired hitman, among others like Bridget Moynahan, Peter Stormare, Ruby Rose, Ian McShane, John Leguizamo and Lance Reddick.

The cameras are currently being rolled in Rome, Italy, and according to the crew, the story in this sequel will be more based around the Continental Hotel, a place in the story were only hitmen are able to stay.

Star Wars: Episode VIII has started filming!

Disney and Lucasfilm, have announced that the next film in the saga will be out on December 15 2017, it was originally scheduled for the summer of that year.

The sequel will be directed this time by Rian Johnson, known for films like Brick and Looper. According to Disney’s CEO Bob Iger, Johnson already started rolling cameras while making his own little adjustments to the Star Wars universe. However, J.J. Abrams, director of Star Wars: Episode VII, will only be involved as an executive producer.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens tops Avatar to become #1 movie in America

Star Wars takes Avatar’s number 1 domestic spot

With Star Wars: The Force Awakens breaking almost every box office record, it was only a matter of time until it finally surpassed Avatar.

J. J. Abrams latest installment in the Star Wars series Star Wars: The Force Awakens has made box office history as it is the first movie since 2009 to top the domestic haul which was done by Avatar. The Force Awakens has now passed Avatar’s $760.5 million and has now claimed the number one spot. It took James Cameron’s 3D breakthrough months to reach the #1 spot while the J. J. Abrams helmed Star Wars not only beat that record but did it in a mere 3 weeks.
