Sony working to produce Marvel’s Venom movie

Sony Pictures is at it again, after years of almost making this film since the release of The Amazing Spider-Man, they have decided that the next movie from the Marvel universe will be a Spider-Man spin-off about Venom.

After Sony’s announcement last February that they will be rebooting the Spider-Man franchise in partnership with Marvel Studios, it seemed like there were no plans yet for the spin-offs like Venom and The Sinister Six.

Sony cancels controversial movie ‘The Interview’ after threats

Sony cancels film about Kim Jong Un’s assassination

After Sony has been hacked and had confidential information leaked online, they have decided to pull The Interview from theatres as threats have been made of “9/11” style killings at screenings of the film.

The film stars Seth Rogan and James Franco and depicts a fictional plot to assassinate Kim Jong-un.

The Marvel Multiverse explained

Welcome to the MARVEL Multiverse.

It would be uncommon in this day and age if you weren’t familiar with the Marvel Universe. Marvel was founded in 1939 as Timely Comics. They acquired the name Marvel 1961 where success started to really take off for them, creating heroes like Spiderman, Iron Man and The Hulk.

Since then Marvel have branched out in creating action figures (1997), videogames (1982) and movies (1986 – although Timely comics had a Captain America film in 1944).
